Buchanan, N.Y. (AP) - A security lieutenant at the Indian Point has filed a lawsuit claiming the New York nuclear plant's security network crashes regularly.

The $1.5 billion lawsuit was filed by Clifton Travis Jr. It names as defendants the plant owner, Entergy, and three managers.

The suit also claims security staff regularly watch DVDs, play video games and sleep on the job.

It says the plant also routinely fails anti-terrorism drills.

The company said it hadn't yet been served with the suit.

But spokesman Jim Steets said Entergy has invested more than $100 million in the last 10 years on security and has conducted multiple drills and exercises. He said the federal government has deemed it secure.
