Des Moines, IA (CNN) - Olympic gold medalist Shawn Johnson is ending her career as a competitive gymnast.
Johnson says while she still has the desire to compete, she is retiring because of problems with her left knee.
She won four Olympic and three World medals in her career.
She plans to cheer on the 2012 U.S. Olympic team in London
