Penn Yan, N.Y. – The driver of a car that crashed near Keuka College early Wednesday left the scene, even while his passenger was injured according to the Yates County Sheriff's Office. Aaron Walker was found several hours later walking the streets of Penn Yan.
The passenger, Robert Wood, 26, of Keuka Park, sustained back injuries and was airlifted to Strong Hospital from the accident scene near Route 54A and Central Avenue. He was later discharged.
The driver, Aaron Walker, 25, of Penn Yan, was charged with assault, leaving the scene of an accident and speeding. He was treated for minor injuries at Soldiers and Sailors Hospital, after which he was arraigned and jailed in lieu of bail.
