Canandaigua, N.Y. - A grand jury indicted an Ontario County woman for murder, tampering with evidence and endangering the welfare of a child for allegedly killing her husband last year.

Rose Chase allegedly pushed her husband, Adam, down a flight of stairs, killing him, in June. Prosecutors say Chase hid her husband’s body in the basement. Adam Chase was considered missing for several months.

In December 2012, investigators found body parts belonging to Adam at Rose Chase’s mother’s home in Potter, Yates County.

She’s now accused of dismembering his body and over time, taking it to her mother’s house to burn the body parts. Also, at one point, she allegedly had her son in her car along with the decomposing body.

On Friday, Rose Chase pled not guilty to the charges against her.

The judge also granted orders of protection for Adam Chase’s parents, along with Rose and Adam’s son.

Rose Chase is being held on $100,000 cash bail or $200,000 bond. She is due back in court on May 2.
