Rochester, N.Y. - The Ronald McDonald House is in the business of giving, but these days it's getting something in return.
Roy Jaworski, 12, is staying at the home while he awaits a kidney transplant. He's saying, "Thank you" in a unique way, by drumming up support for the charity in an online contest. If the Ronald McDonald House of Rochester wins, the contest could win the nonprofit a $5,000 prize.
"I really like it here," Jaworski said. "It's like home. They have your rooms. They have their own kitchen They just make it roomy."
Jaworski is handing out slips with information on how to vote for the Ronald McDonald House of Rochester in the contest. To learn more about the contest, or cast a vote for the local charity, click here
