Four Charged in 5 Bank Robberies

Penfield, N.Y. - Four suspects were arrested in connection with five recent bank robberies in the Rochester area.

The Monroe County Sheriff's Office says 24 year-old Israel Romero, 23 year-old Sarah Clooney, 48 year-old Jeffrey Bliss, and 27 year-old Anthony Way, all of Rochester, have been charged with robbery in the second degree.

They were arraigned Wednesday in Penfield Town Court.

The Sheriff's Office says they were involved in five bank robberies between September 22 and October 9.

Two of the banks were in Penfield, one in East Rochester, one in Pittsford, and another in Churchville.

All four were sent to the Monroe County Jail, Bliss with no bail, the other three in lieu of $25,000 cash bail, $50,000 bond.
