Livingston County – Paul Battaglia, 60, along with two passengers had to be rescued Sunday afternoon after their boat caught fire.Livingston County Sheriff's deputies say they were called out to the north end of Conesus Lake around 2:15 p.m.
All three passengers were able to get off the boat safely.
Lakeville and Livonia Fire Departments along with the New York State Park Police and the Livingston County Department of Health were on the scene to help with the situation.
Police say that there were several on-lookers who also helped rescue the boaters.
The boat has heavy fire damage and appears to be a total loss, police say.
The boat has been removed from the lake.
Police are investigating what happened.
