Perinton, N.Y. - The Town of Perinton is celebrating its 200th birthday.

Two full weeks of events, concerts, contests and shows mark the bicentennial celebration.

All of the attractions are free, except for food.

"We wanted everyone to be able to come and take part and not have to say, 'I'm sorry kids, we can't do that, we don't have the money,' “ said event co-chair Sue Roberts. “Doesn't matter – come, because all of the things -- the face painting, the hair braiding, the petting zoo, the games, everything that's going to be offered--is free."

Events also include an antique car show, horseshoe tournament, scavenger hunts and historic trail hikes.
