Pittsford, N.Y. – A proposed upscale apartment complex is close to getting village approval.

The complex would go on the site of the former Monoco oil plant on the Erie Canal. Work could begin in the spring after an environmental cleanup is done.

The $30 million development would have 167 apartments and a restaurant. The village is holding a public hearing Monday on a special-use permit for the project.
