Canandaigua, N.Y. --- Wednesday afternoon Jeremiah Acquilano, 17 of Bloomfield, will appear in Ontario County Court and could accept a pending plea offer in the case against him.

Acquilano is charged with criminally negligent homicide for the death of 19-year-old Dyllon Brewster.  The incident occurred in May 2012 at the Wishing Well Mobile Home Park in East Bloomfield.

Authorities claim Brewster was riding on the hood of a pickup truck that Acquilano was driving.  Brewster fell off and died of a head injury.  Witnesses told 13WHAM News that Acquilano stopped suddenly as evident by tire tracks they showed our news crews in a day after the incident.

Acquilano’s father spoke to 13WHAM News at the time and expressed remorse for what happened.

“It’s a tragedy, it’s something that just shouldn’t happen and it happens and everybody pays the price,” James Acquilano said in June 2012.  “Our hearts are out for Dyllon’s family and what they are going through.”
