Wheatland, N.Y. - Police have charged a man in connection with a shooting in Wheatland earlier this week.
Vincenzo Zagari, 20, is facing assault charges for shooting Angel Figuero on Smith Rd. on Monday.
Figuero is still recovering at Strong Memorial Hospital, where he is in guarded condition.
Police say Zagari took off from the scene of the crime in a pickup truck, but they were eventually able to track him down.
Zagari is being held in the Monroe County Jail on $100,000 bail.
