Syracuse, N.Y. (AP) - Authorities are searching for a family acquaintance after a 4-year-old boy was found alone, late at night, in a Syracuse bank parking lot.

Police say the man left the family's home with the child on Sunday to go to the store.

A search began when they didn't return.

13WHAM’s Syracuse affiliate, WSYR, says a neighbor found the child around 11:30 p.m. Sunday at a Key Bank parking lot-- a few blocks from the boy's home.
