Sullivan N.Y. (AP) - Authorities say they're attempting to identify the body of a man found floating in Oneida lake.

The Madison County Sheriff's Office says that two people heading out for a boat ride noticed the body around 6:30 p.m. Tuesday about 100 feet from Oneida Lake's southeastern shore, near Sullivan, 10 miles northeast of Syracuse.

Deputies say the man was wearing a bathing suit and is believed to have been in his 40s or 50s.

Authorities believe foul play was not involved, and that the man may have suffered a medical condition while swimming.

The body was taken to the Onondaga County Medical Examiner's Office in Syracuse for an autopsy.
