Rochester, N.Y. -- Police were investigating hunting violations when they came across a man watering marijuana plants in a state forest.
Thursday was the opening day of squirrel season in New York. Two officers were patroling the Sonyea State Forest in Livingston County when they found Alan Osborne of Rochester watering several marijuana plants.
Osborne was arrested for unlawully growing 17 plants. He will appear in the Town of Groveland Court on Sept. 15.
