Henrietta, N.Y. – A local teen gets a very creative request to go to prom—an advertisement in the newspaper!
Mike, the boy in the photo, is from Canada. He met Nenetzin Allen-Caballero of Henrietta on a cruise over winter break. The two have been Skyping ever since.
Mike wanted to ask her to prom in a special way, so he purchased the ad in Thursday’s Democrat and Chronicle. His plea was there for all to see.
“I was freaking out! I was like ‘oh my gosh, of course I’ll go with you!' I love him. He's the greatest," says Nenetzin.
When Nenetzin got home from school the paper was waiting for her with flowers and a letter from Mike.
Today is also Nenetzin’s birthday!
