Faison, N.C. - A North Carolina farm recalled nearly 600 cases of cantaloupes that were sent to New York state because they could be contaminated with listeria.
The fruit came from Burch Equipment.
The impacted fruit are whole Athena cantaloupes that were shipped July 15.
As of Saturday night, Wegmans, Tops, Price Rite and Aldi did not have product recalls posted on their Website. At least some of the fruit was shipped to Hannaford grocery stores.
The farm is advising anyone with one of the cantaloupes to discard it.
