Washington - Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III will be out for six to eight months.

Griffin will undergo total resconstructive surgery on his right knee this week.

Griffin tore both his LCL and ACL during Sunday's playoff game against the Seattle Seahawks.

His surgeon says he should be ready for the start of the 2013 season.
