Salina, N.Y. (AP) - Officials at an upstate New York cemetery have said that metal thieves are behind the disappearance of at least 10 flag holders from veterans' graves.

The Syracuse Post-Standard reports the widow of a Korean War vet discovered one of the flagpole holders was missing when she went to tend the flowers at her husband's grave in Assumption Cemetery on Saturday.

The cemetery is in the town of Salina on the Syracuse city line.
