Rochester, N.Y. – Hundreds turned out Saturday night to join in the fight against heart disease.
One of Rochester’s biggest fundraisers of the year, the 22nd annual Heart Ball benefits the American Heart Association’s national campaign against heart disease and stroke.
The money raised by the ball goes to help families like Steiners . Their son, Josh, had three open heart surgeries as a child and the family credits the American Heart Association with giving their son a fighting chance.
The Heart Ball campaign raised around $51 million nationwide for research and treatment in 2011.
