Rochester, N.Y. - The City of Rochester held the final Clean Sweep event on the city’s southeast side today.
Today’s event drew the largest crowd of the year with 1,200 volunteers pitching in to collect around 25 tons of litter in the Cobbs Hill area.
City spokesperson Pat Flanigan says about 3,000 volunteers collected around 100 tons of litter and debris in total during the month long program.
