Rochester, N.Y. – The U.S. Attorney’s Office announced Friday the conviction and sentencing of a Rochester man on two counts of possession of child pornography.
Steven Niles, 28, of Battle Green Drive in Rochester was sentenced to 60 months in federal prison and 14 years of supervised release.
Niles will have to register as a sex offender.
Niles was identified by federal agents conducting an undercover investigation. Upon executing a search warrant, agents seized a laptop, desktop computer, cell phone, and an iPad that had images and movies of child pornography.
Officials say Niles had over 12,000 such images.
The case was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood.
