Batavia, N.Y. (AP) - A suspected bank robber who's behind bars in eastern New York is also charged with robbing a bank in the western part of the state a week later.

The Genesee County Sheriff's Office says 25-year-old Jonathan Mills of Rochester was arraigned this week on charges of robbery and grand larceny. He's suspected of robbing the Five Star Bank branch in Pavilion April 16.

Following his arraignment, Mills was returned to the Columbia County Jail, where he's being held on charges of holding up the Bank of Greene County in Greenport on April 9.

He's due back in court in Genesee County with his lawyer on December 11.
