(Rochester, N.Y.)-Rochester Police say injured Officer Anthony DiPonzio’s condition is improving.
Officer DiPonzio, who was shot in the head on January 31 and has been in the hospital ever since, is now walking with limited help, and can hold conversations.
"Tony has conversations with officers and is very optimistic about his speedy recovery," says Rochester Police Officer LaRon Singletary. "He remains in good spirits."
Tyquan Rivera, 15, has been accused of shooting DiPonzio.
