Rochester, N.Y.- A Rochester woman accused of hitting a pedestrian while driving drunk and texting pleaded guilty to first-degree vehicular assault Friday.
Kashia Houston is accused of hitting Sherry Argo on Thurston Road back in 2011 as Argo was getting out of her parked car.
Police say Houston left the scene of the crash and was found a short time later after a witness caught the plate number and gave it to authorities.
Houston will be sentenced December 18.
She faces 2 1/3 to 7 years in prison.
Argo suffered extensive injuries including blunt trauma to her torso and a broken leg.
