Gates-Chili, N.Y. - The safety of young football players will be addressed by Senator Chuck Schumer when he visits Gates-Chili High School Monday.
Schumer is supporting new legislation designed to improve standards for youth and high school football helmets.
He says current voluntary safety standards for football helmets do not specifically address the risk of concussion
The proposed legislation would set new standards for youth safety.
