Rochester, N.Y. - Next time you're out shopping - you'll likely see the Salvation Army Red Kettle stands at malls and shopping centers.

The Salvation Army kicked off its annual Red Kettle campaign in Victor Thursday morning. This year's goal - $560,000 dollars.

New this year, the Salvation Army is enlisting the honorary chair help from a family, as opposed to an individual. The Dixon Schwabl family is this year's honorary chair for the Red Kettle Campaign.

Ten thousand volunteers will be manning the kettles from November 8th through December 24th.

Your donations help provide meals, toys and other necessities to people in need and around Monroe County through The Salvation Army's holiday assistance programs.
