This isn't about automatic weapons. This is about the existence of evil, which is not going to go away. As a mother of two young children, the aesthetics of a welcoming school environment means absolutely nothing to me if my children don't come home alive. Stop it with this nonsense and wake up. Ask any of those parents going through pure hell right now if the aesthetics of the school environment means anything to them. In fact, I'm guessing you could ask any parent right now if they'd rather their children be in a school that looks and acts as a fortress than go through what these families are going through, and the majority would say to take whatever steps necessary to make sure their babies come home safe. This is an epidemic of evil that will continue, and it won't make one ounce of difference if you disarm the entire nation because they'll get the weapons illegally anyway...because they are determined. Instead of trying to fix everybody who commits these heinous acts, start protecting the places in which they target, you know, the unarmed places. And by the way, it's no coincidence that they're making unprotected venues their targets. It amazes me that we have armed security detail in banks, gov't offices, large corporations, etc and not in our schools where the most innocent and vulnerable spend their days. I don't know about you, but I don't ever want to witness this horror ever again, and I hope for our children's sake we open our eyes to reality, as difficult as it may be. God bless.

Automatic weapons have never been used in one of these shootings. Why is that her greatest concern?
