Castile, N.Y. – Fire investigators announced Wednesday they found a body in a building destroyed by fire in Castile.
Wyoming County Sheriff's deputies are still waiting for an official ID, but they believe the victim is Lorraine Qutermous. They say she was found on the first floor during a search of the building Wednesday morning.
The fire broke out early Tuesday morning in an historic building on North Main Street. It consisted of town and village offices, Lorraine's Place restaurant and an apartment.
Qutermous owned the restaurant and lived in the apartment upstairs.
Investigators are still trying to determine how the fire started.
