Rochester, N.Y.- We're learning that the sequester could lead to federal work-study cuts for local colleges next year.

Here are the cuts that could come to local colleges:
  • Rochester Institute of Technology -  $66,835
  • University of Rochester - $40, 294
  • Nazareth College - $25,780
  • Monroe Community College - $29,107
  • Roberts Wesleyan College - $12,685

Colleges at Brockport and Geneseo would not lose funding.

The sequester is set to take effect if a compromise isn't reached by March 1.
