A new study published in The New England Journal of Medicine finds doctors can help reduce car crashes involving older drivers.

Researchers found fewer serious crashes happened when doctors warned patients and notified driving authorities.

An estimated 600,000 older U.S. drivers give up their keys each year because of health conditions.
