Rochester, N.Y. - Several local Kodak employees were laid off Tuesday in the latest round of cutbacks at the company.
Kodak says that a significant percent of the remaining 1200 positions impacted were being notified.
The company has not said how many local workers were affected by the layoffs.
Kodak, which filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy earlier this year, says the cuts are part of its effort to streamline the company. They expect to eliminate 3,900 positions worldwide this year.
Kodak CEO Antonio Perez still hopes the company will emerge from bankruptcy in 2013.
