Rochester, N.Y. – State Police have arrested a 37-year-old Rochester man for promoting a sexual performance by a child.
Investigators say Felix Alvelo confessed after his arrest to having sexual contact with children under the age of 13.
Alvelo, of 100 Borinquen Plaza, Apartment 1105, is also accused of being involved in downloading and sharing images of child pornography.
State Police say Alvelo worked at a home day care from 2006 to 2007. Investigators interviewed workers at the day care on Friday but have not released the name of the business.
State Police said their investigation started in February.
Alvelo is charged with promoting a sexual performance by a child, possessing same, and predatory sexual assault against a child.
State Police said Alvelo passed background checks at the day care and had no prior record.
