(13WHAM-TV) - Our first area-wide snow fell Friday night and Saturday morning. The snow was associated with the same storm that blanketed parts of the Midwest and upper Great Lakes the past few days.
The snow associated with the system has moved east of Rochester. We will still find strong gusty winds early this evening which will blow the freshly fallen snow and reduce visibility in open areas.
Total storm snowfall ranged from 8" in Warsaw to 4" in Spencerport. The northwest side of Rochester picked up 5.5" of snow. No significant snow accumulation is expected tonight.
The next round of light snow will arrive Monday night for Christmas Eve. A fresh inch or two may be possible then.
