South Korea – South Korea claims it has successfully launched a satellite into orbit from its own soil for the first time.
The launch comes just a few weeks after North Korea successfully launched its own satellite into space.
Two previous attempts by South Korea in 2009 and 2010 failed.
The launch is receiving more attention than usual this week, after North Korea threatened to test its third nuclear device.
