Spencerport/Odgen, N.Y. - Senator Chuck Schumer will accompany business leaders Tuesday at the bridge at 208 S. Union to call on CSX railroad company to remove three dilapidated bridges.
Area residents have expressed frustration with CSX railroad's apparent lack of response to their request to remove the eyesores. CSX allegedly set bridge removal for last February, but it never happened.
Schumer’s office says the bridges are unsafe, they are deteriorating and they impede traffic in the business district.
Several trucks have been caught under the bridges in recent months.
