Rochester, N.Y.- What a difference a year can make.

In 2012, Rochesterians prepared to sweat through the St. Patrick's Day parade, when temperatures rose above 70 degrees.

By Friday morning, the day before the 2013 parade, people along East Main Street were bundled-up and snow fell while the ceremonial green line was painted on the road.

"No matter how many times my hair freezes solid, it's all good. We are always here," said Pattie Ertle.

Businesses along the parade route are bringing in more staff and supplies to serve the parade crowd.

"The weather doesn't seem to matter too much, whether it is snowing or 70 degrees," said Dennis Sutton, a bartender at Salinger's.

Java's Coffee manager Matthew O'Brian is hopeful chilly weather will mean strong sales for one winter favorite.

"I'm thinking it's going to be cold and I'm going to sell a lot of hot chocolate," said O'Brian.

The parade starts at 12:30 p.m. Saturday. Click here for more details.
