Stabbing at Henrietta Wegmans

Henrietta, N.Y.-A woman was stabbed at the Wegmans on Calkins Road around 9:15 Tuesday night.

In the frozen foods section of the store, police said a woman was stabbed. They said the woman did know her assailant. The victim was stabbed repeatedly around the head and shoulders, and may also have been stabbed in the eye.

Another shopper who witnessed the incident was stabbed as he tried to help.

All three were taken to Strong Hospital. The woman's injuries are said to be serious.

Police said there were plenty of witnesses and there is surveillance video.

The store, which is usually open 24 hours, was closed following the incident.
