Pittsford, N.Y. - The Wegmans School of Pharmacy at St. John Fisher held its annual "White Coat Ceremony" Sunday for first year students.

One of the people in the audience received a spontaneous standing ovation.

Ted Scardino, one of the firefighters injured in the Lake Road Christmas Eve shootings in Webster, was there for his son, who is a pharmacy student.

Scardino was released from the hospital about a week ago. He's now recovering at home.
