Albany, N.Y. - New York State plans to sell vehicles online as the Cuomo administration overhauls government operations.

NYSStore will sell old vehicles, as well as office supplies, computers, cell phones, furniture, medical equipment, cameras, generators, and tools.

Nearly 500 vehicles will be part of the online sale. A system to consolidate the state's fleet means those vehicles are  longer needed.

"By selling unneeded equipment and supplies, New York State will reduce operating costs and cut back on excess spending and inventory," Governor Cuomo said. "This initiative is a small part of our work to overhaul government operations and make the state work more efficiently for the taxpayer."

Sales from NYSStore will begin in April  To view the site, click here.
