A stomach virus is making the rounds in the U.S. just as an outbreak of the flu begins to fade.

There have been scores of norovirus cases reported in the U.S.

It is highly contagious and often spreads in places like schools, cruise ships and nursing homes.

Symptoms include vomiting and diarrhea. Norovirus is also called “Winter vomiting disease.”
