New York, N.Y. - A ban on large servings of sugary drinks in New York City was supposed to go into effect today.
Instead, a judge is blocking it, saying it only applies to some establishments and not others.
The proposed ban was been controversial from the start, with opponents claiming it amounts to government nannying.
New York City Mayor Bloomberg says the city will appeal the judge's ruling.
