Greece, N.Y. - Suspended Greece Police K9 Officer Sam Ross has been fired from his job following an internal investigation into charges he provided alcohol to a minor on three separate occasions.
The minor is also facing charges for allegedly possessing a fake I.D.
The K9 unit was suspended after Ross was charged in October.
He turned in his gun, badge and I.D. but was allowed to keep the K9 dog Hunter in his care until now.
The dog will be returned to the woman who raised it.
For now, the department will be without a K9 unit but will establish a new one with a new dog in the spring.
