Rochester, N.Y. - Rochester police have made an arrest in connection to a homicide on Tacoma Street in Rochester.

23-year-old Marcellus Timmons of Rochester has been charged with second degree murder in the death of 52-year-old Todd Davidson.

Davidson was found dead during a burglary investigation at 41 Tacoma Street in Rochester Wednesday morning.

Police say Davidson had significant upper body trauma.

Rochester Police Chief James Sheppard said a screwdriver was found at the scene.

Sheppard also said investigators believe Davidson and Timmons knew each other and there may have been a domestic dispute between them.

"They had a relationship, it might have been romantic along those lines but we don’t have both sides of the party to discuss how that relationship was," Sheppard said.

Sheppard credited a neighbor with helping in the investigation.

"Somebody saw something suspicious and they called the Rochester Police Department with something related to a burglary. Once that information was given to us and the investigation into the person found... we received additional information in terms of the description of a subject who may have been involved... we were able to determine who that person was and subsequently made an arrest." Sheppard said.

Davidson's family remembers him as a loving father who loved life.

They tell 13WHAM News he loved to sing, dance and cook.

Davidson is the father of six children.
