Seneca Lake, N.Y. - Finger Lakes winemakers are no longer waiting for the rest of the world to discover their success.
Wednesday night, writers in 12 cities across the country participated in an event called "Taste New York."
They were all sent the same package of six wines from Red Tail Ridge, a winery on Seneca Lake.
The idea is to have writers taste at the same time then use twitter to share their thoughts.
The result was a great success with writers as far as away as California saying, "I had no idea New York was capable of such good wines."
