Irondequoit, N.Y. - The husband of a former teacher's aide accused of having an inappropriate relationship with a student is standing by his wife.
Jennifer Kennard, an aide at East Irondequoit Middle School, has been charged with rape and criminal sex act.
13WHAM stopped by Kennard's home in Irondequoit, where her husband told us he supports his wife.
Police say the alleged incident started when the student was 13 years old. The victim is now an adult.
Kennard was placed on administrative leave immediately following her arrest.
She has been a teacher's aide since December 2009.
