The fact that the family is defending the criminal behavior of this little punk speaks volumes of their lack of moral character. The kid has had 14 years of parental neglect and now they feel it's time to be a family. That's real parenting!! Now the parent's blame the system for failing their kid! Get real!!!

Where to start that is a tough one. How do you teach a group of people how to better themselves, how to raise children when many of them are just doing what they know half of the time. Althought there is more people who do right then there is that do wrong its the small percent who bring our community down.

I agree and I think just the frustration we all feel about this just makes things fly off the tips of our fingers before our brains can catch up. I wish there were such an answer. It takes a village, a city, a town and most importantly one's own family. With that being said a lot of hard work, anguish, dilligence and sometimes tears to fight the violence such a bad word, to heed the violence and take back the night. So many attempts have been made, neighborhood watches, extra police force, etc...everything starts out strong then just falls by the wayside. I think people give up because they feel it's too far gone, that there's no help and no end to the violence in today's world. There have to better laws enforced and I believe that keeping a child in school and not letting them quit is one law that should be passed, but then there's the issue of homeschool...you know the list goes on and on. Social Services in many areas need to enforce stronger laws, more intense investigations and deal with issues at hand. It just makes me sick to think a child young than my own child, out there selling drugs, and not only that - an attempted murderer. What is the answer and where do we begin...that's the question?

Also it is not my intention to single you out you are right about some thing. Also many people have said horrible things on this post. This whole thing shouldnt pull us apart but should pull us all together as a community how can we help find a solution to the violence and crime that is bringing down our community

pankydooley - As I agree that Everyone could do a better job raising children the use of the word racist is what caught my attention yes Im prejudice towards lazy people but racist implies having dislike for certain races. And has far as my ablity to read between the lines its what I do for a living.

And the way to gain equality is to attain education, work however hard you need to in order to make it in this world w/o selling drugs, w/o resorting to crime. I AM RACIST I AM RACIST AGAINST THE ONES THAT DO NOT LIVE BY THE STANDARDS ABOVE - I DON'T CARE IF THEIR WHITE, BLACK, YELLOW... There is a way to read between the lines and unfortunately, I'm sorry you do not have that talent. I salute people who go to school, who go to work, who raise their kids with values and morals to become the best people humanity asks for. I'm sure MLK didn't support ANY HUMAN RACE that sat around selling drugs, commiting murder and numerous other crimes to get by in this world. There enough said. This is a forum where opinions can be expressed others have stated many worst statements than I have. Don't just segregate me!
