Albion, N.Y. – A three-month investigation into crack cocaine sales in the Albion area wrapped up with ten arrests.
On February 1, an Orleans County drug task force along with teams from local police departments executed a search warrant on apartments on East Bank St.
Arrested in the raid were Christopher Mitchell, 26, and Tony Thompson, 45, both of Albion. They face three charges of both criminal sale and criminal possession of a control substance. Both men were taken to Orleans County Jail on $50,000 bail or $100,000 bond.
Also arrested were Anthony Barber, 56, Alexandra Ivy, 34, Charles Ingram, 56, and Benith White, 42. Barber faces two counts of both criminal sale and criminal possession of controlled substance, while Ivy, Ingram and White face a single count of each charge. Ivy faces and additional two counts for unlawful sale of un-taxed cigarettes.
Ivy and Barber were taken to Orleans County Jail on $10,000 bail or $20,000 bond. White was taken to jail on $20,000 bail or $40,000 bond. Ingram is being held without bail.
James Crews, 55, was arrested and charged with eight counts of first-degree criminal nuisance. He was taken to jail on $10,000 bail or $20,000 bond.
An additional three people were arrested and given appearance tickets. Mac Howard, 67, for first-degree criminal nuisance and unlawful sale of alcohol, J.W. Hardy III, 25, and a 17-year-old youthful offender for possession of marijuana.
Further charges and arrests are pending in the case.
