Rochester, N.Y. - The Park Avenue Festival closed several hours early this year, after strong thunderstorms rolled through the area.
Organizers said festival attendance was down considerably this year because of Saturday's heat and Sunday's forecasted storms.
About 85,000 people attended the two-day event, less than the 100,000 who attend in a typical year.
The storm downed trees and power lines throughout the region. At its peak on Sunday, more than 6,000 RG&E customers were without power.
