Brighton, N.Y.- Police and fire crews responded to an accident involving three vehicles on Route 590 around noon Monday which caused a major traffic backup on the expressway.
It happened on 590 South near the Elmwood Avenue exit.
Police say two vehicles were trying to merge into the same lane, one car clipped the other, sending it into an embankment. The car struck a light pole which then crashed onto a third car. A woman and her baby were inside. We’re told they were not hurt. One person was sent to the hospital with minor injuries.
No word yet if anyone will be ticketed.
