Train Pushes Car A Mile Down The Track

Macedon, N.Y. – When a train hit an abandoned car on Quaker Road Thursday, it pushed the car nearly a mile down the tracks.

An Amtrak spokesperson said the crash happened just before 8 o'clock.

A driver got his car got stuck on the tracks and was able to get out of the car before the train hit.

Macedon Police Chief John Collella said there were no injuries connected with the car and no injuries on the train.

An Amtrak spokesperson says all passengers were provided with alternate transportation from the scene of the crash.
